bim bam byron bay is the home of Indigenous Fine Art and Craft

indigenous
Aboriginal
fine art & craft
including:
paintings, baskets,
glassware, pottery, carvings, beads, memorial poles,
cushions and wall hanging/rugs, and wide selection of Aboriginal art books.
The gallery opened in November 2005 and is the culmination of Barbara Newland's passion for indigenous art and culture. Barbara's love of Aboriginal art and craft developed during the years she spent working in remote communities in the Northern Territory and she travels regularly to central and northern Australia in search of affordable, high quality Aboriginal art for the Gallery collection.
bim bam byron bay is a member of the Australian Indigenous Art
Trade Association Art Trade Fair Trade and is committed to maintaining the highest of ethical standards. All works are sourced directly from the representative Aboriginal arts and crafts co-operatives (owned by the artists) or from reputable art galleries with substantial track records and industry experience.
In November 2009 bim bam byron bay celebrated four years of exhibiting and selling high quality Indigenous Aboriginal Fine Art and Craft by relaunching our website. This site is updated weekly to reflect the constantly changing artwork on our walls. We aim to only have work on the website which is available for purchase, as we know how frustrating it can be when you see the 'perfect' painting and then discover it has already been sold.
Barbara delights in fostering Aboriginal artists to become independent entrepreneurs in their own right and enjoys enriching peoples' experience of indigenous art and culture. Barbara has established an ongoing relationship with many customers who stay in touch via email. We can send high resolution images when you spot a painting of interest to help make the decision easier. bim bam byron bay is about personal service, so if anything takes your eye or we can source that special something for you........
please contact us.
At bim bam byron bay we are often reminded that there is a growing connection to and recognition of Aboriginal art. Many people have visited northern and central Australia and others are extremely knowledgeable and love the art itself.
The Gallery has such a broad range of quality work that most people can find something that they really like, whether starting their collection with something small or needing a larger artwork to enhance their living space. We are always getting comments from people telling us how much they enjoy the variety of paintings on offer and we are delighted to have many repeat customers who appreciate Barbara's collection of carefully chosen Aboriginal art and craft. Byron is a wonderful place for a relaxing holiday and many an artwork has been purchased on the way back from the beach. Please enjoy your visit.
